My therapeutic approach:

My approach aims to assist individuals in their time of need by building a therapeutic relationship that is built on respect, trust, and a genuine desire to understand the internal worlds of each of my clients. My goal is to assist clients in finding their answers in life, by helping to facilitate greater self-awareness and a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. I believe in the resilience of the human spirit and believe that all individuals possess the ability to cultivate true contentment in life. I view psychotherapy as a collaborative process, in which the client and therapist embark on a journey of awareness and growth. I utilize an individualized approach with each of my clients, drawing on existential, family systems, humanistic, and narrative based interventions.

My qualifications:

I hold a Masters in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University (Malibu California, USA). In addition, I obtained a Graduate Certificate in Narrative Therapy from Dulwich Centre (Adelaide, Australia) and have completed level 1 and level 2 as a Gottman Couples Therapist.  I am licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences in the state of California and the Dubai Health Authority.  I have clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in hospital settings, long-term residential care, non-profit organizations, school settings, and private practice. I am a full member of the American Psychological Association and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
