About this Event:
This taster session geared towards individuals who are curious and interested in learning about mindfulness. An opportunity to experience what mindfulness meditation is like. Some topics addressed: What is Mindfulness? How can it help me? Do I need to meditate to practice mindfulness? How can I learn? What is MBSR and is it right for me?
About the Teacher:
Katerine LeMay, PhD, C.Psych.(CAN) is a clinical psychologist, an MBSR teacher, and the owner and director of the MapleTree Center DMCC. She has been practicing mindfulness meditation since the early 1990’s. She maintains regular meditation practice by sitting daily and attending silent retreats. She completed the foundational training required to teach Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society (USA) founded by Jon Kabat Zinn, PhD.
