What is it? Mindfulness meditation involves paying attention in a particular way to one’s physical, emotional, and mental experiences moment by moment. There is scientific evidence supporting the benefits of mindfulness meditation to help manage stress and anxiety, improve memory and attention, boost the immune system, help regulate emotions, manage pain, and promote a general sense of well-being.
What to expect? 20 minutes of sitting meditation (minimal guidance or silent), 10 minutes of walking meditation, 20 minutes of silent sitting meditation, 10 minutes questions/discussion. Chairs provided or bring your own cushion.
How should I dress? Wear loose fitting comfortable clothing, bring socks or shawl as the room may be cool.
Who can attend? Individuals who have completed a course in mindfulness or have some experience meditating.
- The aim is to start and finish on time. Please turn off your mobile.
- When you arrive feel free to quietly enter the room and sit. Should you arrive late, enter quietly and join in the practice when you are ready. Should you need to leave the room, simply leave quietly.
- Please be mindful of others by refraining from wearing scents.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
