Individual short and long term psychotherapy for adults, teenagers (14 +). Services offered in English or in French.
My therapeutic approach:
I draw on humanistic and cognitive behavioural theory to help people with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship problems (see list of interest below). People with low self-esteem, who have difficulty finding their purpose or reaching their true potential, who lack a sense of “wholeness”, who are searching for personal meaning or who are uncomfortable with themselves as they are, may also benefit from this approach.
In therapy, we will explore together what you are feeling in the here and now; I welcome and consider the person as a whole. Our work is done in an atmosphere of support, empathy and trust, allowing you to share your feelings without fear of judgment. I believe that people are intrinsically motivated to meet their needs and their potential for self-actualization; this can take many forms, including the development of creative efforts, personal or professional accomplishments, even spiritual awakening, or the pursuit of wisdom.
Should you be looking for a holistic approach to mental and physical health, I can accompany you on this journey. My training as an Ayurvedic technician, my work experience in this field, and my meditation practice of 40 years allows me to fully understand the meaning of this kind of approach within the frame of the psychological work we will do together.
My areas of interest include:
- Mood disorders (depression, anxiety)
- Meaning of life (existential topics)
- Difficulties in family relationships
- Stress management
- Challenges facing gifted people
- Learning disabilities
- Personnal growth
- Low self esteem
- Intercultural adaptation
- Spiritual questionning
